This was a riveting read!I fell in love with the characters! Stella's struggles as she fights to get her daughter back felt real and I was totally inmersed in the story. I love that it has an uplifting message about trusting God with your life and about family love and second chances. I loved Stella's relationship with God, it inspired me.
Michael is a bit misterious at first but I loved how he was at Stella's side when she most needed him.
The plot has unexpected twists. It kept my attention the whole time!
Joy is a wonderful author and this is a fantastic series. Looking forward to more books from her!

I really enjoyed this story even though I got a little confused at the beginning. I thought the story became apocalyptic when Stella was wandering in the woods. This happily ever after is filled with the power of having faith and hope in God. Listen, obey and leave your problems in God’s hands.
I thought this was a good read.It was exciting but predictable in the who done it part. There was some good insight into how God makes a difference in our lives. I read the book in an afternoon and was looking forward to the next book in the series. Some of it was a little unbelievable but it is fiction after all.
I enjoyed this book by one of my favorite authors! I struggled with the first chapter, but I am glad I pushed through to read the book! A clean romantic suspense with plenty of plot twists and turns. Looking forward to beginning the next book in this series.
Such enjoyable reading. Makes you want to keep cheering these sisters on and their wonderful spouses. I read 2 of the books in one night. So if you have the time, sit down with them and enjoy. I think I just found a new favorite!!!!
I recommend Uncommon Ground to all ages from sixteen to one hundred. It is a well written Christian book. It has mystery, intrigue, romance, love of family, trust, etc. It's a story you won't want to put down until you have read the entire book. Joy Ohagwu is an excellent author.
The story seemed to be a continuation from a previous book. Although I believe it's supposed to be the first in a series. There was too much happening in the beginning and there seemed to be multiple storylines intertwined. I got lost and kept saying "what?"; having to go back to re-read and figure out things. It eventually panned out and made sense for a few chapters, but I gave up in the middle of 13. A rushed relationship connection, no explanation for distance in others. Too much didn't make sense. I've read other good books by this author. Maybe she was distracted when writing this book(?)
Beautiful story of revival, reunion & reconnection through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Stella & her daughter haven't always been so emotionally apart. Surviving a natural disaster causes them to cling to each other in hope. But when they get separated, Stella will go as far as she can to get her daughter back. Then, she runs into a Michael, a Christian man who has a secret past. With his help, Stella can overcome those last legs of her journey to get back to her family. When it comes time to part ways, Stella and Michael aren't ready to give up on the feelings they've developed for each other during the way.
